Michal Paprocki

CIO Euroclear Group

Since November 2021, Michal Paprocki has been Euroclear Group’s Chief Information Officer, leading the company’s IT transformation.  Previous to this role he served as Chief Technology Officer for three years. He is based in Brussels and is also a member of the Euroclear Group Management Committee.

Euroclear Group is the financial industry’s trusted provider of post trade services. Guided by its purpose, Euroclear innovates to bring safety, efficiency and connections to financial markets for sustainable economic growth. Euroclear provides settlement and custody of domestic and cross-border securities for bonds, equities and derivatives, and investment funds.  In terms of technology this includes security, compliance, resilience and innovation, all of which are of the utmost importance to Paprocki.

Euroclear’s IT transformation consists of embracing new technologies to introduce greater agility into its working practices, reinforcing its resilient platform and integrating the business lines and IT more effectively across the organisation.

Prior to joining Euroclear in 2018 he was CEO of ING Tech Poland where he was responsible for ING’s IT technology hub, managing full global IT delivery. He graduated with a postgraduate MBA Degree from Warsaw University of Technology.

His combined experience demonstrates the ability to create, manage and implement large enterprise technology strategies as well as transform financial companies into fully digital businesses.
